The King Charles Hotel is a family run hotel consisting of 97 bedrooms and 7 conference suites

March 2006

Mk Energy at the request of Mr Steven de Giorgio conducted a site survey and identified possible savings on both the hot water heaters and the heating boilers.

The installation was authorised and MK Energy installed equipment to control both hot water and heating. Tests were carried out and the result of these showed a combines saving of 37%.

The equipment was installed for a five year term and over the years MK Energy's engineers have serviced and monitored the equipment and the overall results were very satisfactory.

July 2011

Having reached the end of the contract term MK Energy as part of their commitment entered into another five year contract with the King Charles Hotel and replaced all the old equipment with the latest models.

There were no extra charges for this.

Mr de Giorgio was very pleased with the new equipment and installation and is happy to recommend MK Energy to any interested party.

RESULTS
The results of the trials were satisfactory. The Energy Management systems had achieved a combined average of over 30% reduction in gas usage.

Jim Ellison was extremely impressed with the performance of the MK systems.

An added bonus was the installation of the self monitoring facility, would now allow the Engineers to monitor the usage on a monthly basis so as to ensure that they are well within their budgets.

“There is now far less wear and tear on the boilers and this will also reduce our service times”.
